  4. ProSwitch is an utility which makes it easier for you to switch between
  5. running processes (i.e. applications and DAs) under System 7. 
  6. Features include six fully configurable "hot keys" for switching and 
  7. hiding (or showing) the windows of background processes, and the option 
  8. to switch with a click on the application menu's icon (a la System 6).

  10. To install ProSwitch, put it in the "Control Panels" folder inside your
  11. System folder and restart your Mac. To configure it, double-click on its
  12. icon and read the text in ProSwitch's "About"-box.

  18. was unable to skip background-only processes like file-sharing.

  21. fixed the problem with background-only processes and introduced
  22. the "Click-Switch" feature. This version was never released.

  25. added a checkbox for "Hide on click". v1.2 looks at events before
  26. DAs get them, so the calculator DA won't beep at you any longer when
  27. its switched out with ProSwitch.

  32. I am thinking about implementing keyboard equivalents for processes.
  33. As an example, imagine you could type "Control-W" to bring Microsoft
  34. Word to the foreground if its already running, or launch it if it isn't.
